George Pratt, University of Manchester, Spring 2022
Overview
Direct programs are facilitated through one of our 5 external providers:
Our partners provide experiences for all majors, including intensive language, service, and internship opportunities. Certain programs may hold classes at a provider’s center, or you may have the option to enroll directly in a university abroad. Placement is generally guaranteed if eligibility requirements are met.
Length
These programs can be a few weeks to a semester long.
Eligibility
You are eligible for a direct semester program if you are classified as a sophomore or junior.
Cost
All approved programs are priced under $17,000 to match Morehouse College’s cost of attendance for a semester. Institutional scholarships may not be used for direct programs, however external scholarships may be utilized. Check out our “Financial Aid & Scholarships” page to explore how to fund your trip. Individual direct program providers may also have their own scholarships available to make studying abroad more affordable!
Exchange
Fall and spring semester
Dalton Favors, Hong Kong, Spring 2023
*Disclaimer: Currently exchange programs are only available in the spring semester.
Overview
An exchange involves a Morehouse student going abroad, while an international student studies on the Morehouse campus. You will pay your normal Morehouse tuition, room, and board to receive the same accommodations at the institution abroad. This program is conducted through ISEP Exchange.
Length
Exchange programs last a semester. Only available for spring semester.
Eligibility
Placements for exchange programs are limited. To be eligible, you must live in on-campus housing and have an unlimited meal plan. You must be classified as a sophomore or junior. Additionally, you must meet specific criteria including high financial need and program alignment with major. The OIE recommends having a direct program in mind as an alternative in the case you are not chosen for exchange.
Cost
Exchange programs are ideal for students with institutional scholarships. Both institutional and external scholarships may be used to fund an exchange program. ISEP also offers its own scholarships to bring down cost.
