Process
Please apply for the Andrew Young Fund for International Scholars (AYFIS) immediately when submitting your study abroad program application. If you are applying to more than one program, please only submit one AYFIS application and email oie@morehouse.edu immediately to make our office aware.
Award Amount
$1,200 for fall, spring, and summer semester (students participating in an external partner program (Arcadia, CEA-CAPA, CIEE, IES Abroad, ISEP)

Eligibility Requirements:
Program Scholarship Award:
Only ONE (1) AYFIS Program Scholarship Award will be granted to a student during the 2025-26 academic year, with a MAXIMUM of TWO (2) AYFIS awards during a student’s Morehouse matriculation.
NOTE: After receiving an AYFIS scholarship, if a student seeks to travel on a second faculty-led program during 2025-26, the full retail program price will be due.

- Traditional Morehouse College student enrolled full-time during AY 2025-26.
Program Scholarship Award:
- The AYFIS Tier 1 award will be based on the student’s SAI as verified by the Morehouse College Office of Student Financial Services.
- All eligible students will receive the AYFIS Tier 2 award.
- AYFIS funding will be transferred to the study abroad program on behalf of each student to subsidize program costs. No money will be given directly to the students receiving this award.
Only ONE (1) AYFIS Program Scholarship Award will be granted to a student during the 2025-26 academic year, with a MAXIMUM of TWO (2) AYFIS awards during a student’s Morehouse matriculation.
