Program Overview

Your Summer Business + Culture program in Barcelona lasts 4 weeks (or up to 12 weeks). You will enroll in one business course per session.  Enhance your experience with co-curricular and extracurricular activities while immersing yourself in Spanish culture. Live and learn in Barcelona!

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Barcelona will open doors for you to explore Spain’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.      

Samples of past excursions and activities: 
  • Trek Montserrat's breathtaking mountain trails, exploring a Benedictine monastery retreat and witnessing the unique rock formations of Catalonia
  • Wander the colorful streets of Gràcia, immersing yourself in the neighborhood's bohemian vibe and artistic flair
  • Dive into the captivating art of flamenco at one of Barcelona's renowned tablaos

Program Highlights

Academic Course: Take one CIEE business course per session (up to 3 sessions).
Immersive Experiences: Participate in activities, excursions, study tours, and more that showcase your host city's culture, values, and local art, film, music, cuisine, and sports scenes.

Financial Information

Policy on Institutional Scholarships
Institutional scholarships are not applied to study abroad costs. We strongly encourage students to apply for scholarships to fund study abroad. Please visit the scholarships page to learn more about scholarships, or see the director of International Education.

For Students Studying Abroad with External Providers during the Spring and Summer 2020 
Morehouse College students will be required to pay our preferred providers directly for all experiences. However, please be advised that we have featured programs from our preferred providers listed on this site, which we have vetted for quality, safety, and cost. While students are not required to choose one of the featured experiences, they are strongly encouraged to do so. Students will enroll at Morehouse. All tuition and fees will be payable to the College. All payments (including financial aid) will be applied to the student’s account at the College and the student will pay the provider directly. Any balance owed to the provider will be the responsibility of the student. Any overpayment to Morehouse College will be refunded.
