Program Overview

Spend your summer sipping mint tea while soaking up the sun by studying abroad in one of the most culturally diverse countries on the planet: Morocco! Designed for students who want to dive headfirst into Morocco’s rich culture and history, the Summer Moroccan Studies program will immerse you in Moroccan traditions, politics, and cuisine, giving you an invaluable intercultural experience and greater insight into present-day Moroccan society.

When class is in session at CIEE Rabat, you'll explore how Amazigh, Arab, French, Spanish, and North and West African influences have helped form Morocco's vibrant identity and contributed to its diversity. Outside the classroom, you'll have plenty of time to admire Hassan Tower, explore the ruins of the Chellah Necropolis, and wander through Rabat's Medina district.

All your courses will be taught in English and complemented with frequent immersive co-curricular activities and excursions to increase your understanding of Morocco's rich culture. Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime this summer!
