Exceptional opportunity with Biomedical Sciences at Royal Veterinary College

Challenge your critical thinking skills, earn valuable research credits, and experience one of the most cosmopolitan cities of the world on this innovative six-week summer research program with the prestigious Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in London. This is a great way to gain valuable research experience outside of the traditional semester academic calendar while living in one of the most exciting cities in the world. 

Research projects focus on the biomedical sciences with projects in biomechanics, cardiovascular sciences, cell biology, developmental biology, genetics, immunology, molecular biology, parasitology, pharmacology, physiology, reproductive immunology, and welfare. Dedicated projects for students may include: Cardiovascular Biology; Cell & Molecular Biology; Developmental Biology; Genetics; Large Animal Medicine; Molecular & Microbiology; Neuroscience; Imaging; Parasitology; and Reproduction.

 
  • You will take part in many cultural excursions planned by Arcadia London Center staff. These experiences are designed to immerse you in British heritage in different ways and to gain an understanding of the people, places, and traditions that have shaped and continue to shape society.
 
  • The Royal Veterinary College was ranked as the world’s leading veterinary school in the QS World Rankings. Its vast research commitment encompasses excellence in biological and veterinary science, dedicated to the improvement of human and animal health and welfare.
 
  • RVC is a member of the vast University of London system and as a student, you are entitled to use the libraries and facilities of most other member colleges and institutions, which provides you with unlimited research resources.
 
  • The program is highly individualized, with limited enrollment.
 
  • You will need to complete a brief Literature Review in consultation with your research supervisor prior to departure before the start of the program. 
 
  • You’ll also take part in many cultural excursions and activities planned by Arcadia London Center staff. These experiences will open up this cosmopolitan city to you and help you gain an understanding of this dynamic, multicultural society.

Financial Information

Policy on Institutional Scholarships
Institutional scholarships are not applied to study abroad costs. We strongly encourage students to apply for scholarships to fund study abroad. Please visit the scholarships page to learn more about scholarships, or see the director of International Education.

For Students Studying Abroad with External Providers during the Spring and Summer 2020 
Morehouse College students will be required to pay our preferred providers directly for all experiences. However, please be advised that we have featured programs from our preferred providers listed on this site, which we have vetted for quality, safety, and cost. While students are not required to choose one of the featured experiences, they are strongly encouraged to do so. Students will enroll at Morehouse. All tuition and fees will be payable to the College. All payments (including financial aid) will be applied to the student’s account at the College and the student will pay the provider directly. Any balance owed to the provider will be the responsibility of the student. Any overpayment to Morehouse College will be refunded.
