CAPA BARCELONA PROGRAM

Students in Barcelona

With the CAPA Barcelona program at Institute for American Universities (IAU), you'll be part of an exciting cultural environment and soak in all that the city has to offer! You'll get outside the classroom and learn as you explore the art, history and culture of this eclectic city. Whether you're interested in the art scene, the food scene or simply learning how to live like a local, Barcelona has a little something for everyone! The city offers you endless opportunities to live it and be more than a tourist.

The CAPA Barcelona Program Fee includes:

  • 12 to 15 academic credits for the semester, 6 to 9 in the summer
  • Optional 3 to 6 credit-hour internships in a variety of fields (both English and Spanish placements are available)
  • Classes at Institute for American Universities (IAU) located in the center of Barcelona
  • Shared apartment housing (homestay with daily breakfast and dinner available for a supplemental fee)
  • A local transit pass for the length of the program
  • Full-day excursion to Girona, Figueres, and Dali museum
  • Full-day excursion to Montserrat (semesters only)
  • Social events including an arrival reception, mid-term dinner (semesters only), and a farewell ceremony
